MIG WELDING

MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding is a type of arc welding that joins two pieces of metal by using a continuously fed solid wire electrode. An electric arc is created between the electrode and the metal, melting the wire and base metal to form a weld pool. A shielding gas is also fed through the welding gun to protect the weld from contaminants in the air. TIG WELDING

TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), is a precise and high-quality welding process. It uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to create an arc, which generates the heat needed to melt and join metals. PLASMA CUTTING

Plasma cutting is a process that uses a high-velocity jet of ionized gas, or plasma, to cut through electrically conductive materials. An electric arc heats the gas to an extremely high temperature, which melts the metal, while the high-speed gas stream blows the molten material away to create a clean, precise cut.This method is highly valued for its speed, versatility, and ability to cut a wide range of metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. It is a cost-effective alternative for cutting thicker materials and is used extensively in metal fabrication, construction, and automotive industries.


OXY-FUEL CUTTING

Oxy-fuel cutting is a thermal cutting process that uses a combination of a fuel gas (such as acetylene or propane) and pure oxygen to cut through metal. A preheating flame first heats the metal to its "kindling" or ignition temperature, which is below its melting point. A high-pressure stream of pure oxygen is then directed at the heated area, which causes the metal to rapidly oxidize and form molten slag. This slag is then blown away by the oxygen jet, creating a clean cut.This process is a cost-effective and highly portable solution, especially for cutting thick ferrous metals like steel. It is widely used in construction, shipbuilding, and repair work where its ability to cut extremely thick plate and low equipment cost are major advantages.

Welding consumables are essential for creating strong, clean welds. A key component is gas products, which perform a critical role in protecting the weld from atmospheric contaminants like oxygen and nitrogen. They work together to ensure safety, consistency, and a high-quality finished product. as welding and cutting uses equipment like a welding/cutting torch, pressure regulators, hoses, and gas cylinders (such as oxy-acetylene), along with safety gear like flashback arrestors, check valves, gloves, and masks. Specialized cutting nozzles, welding tips, and carts to hold cylinders are also used. The appropriate gas mixture, determined by the application, is delivered through the equipment to the torch, where it burns to create the heat for welding or the oxygen jet for cutting.
